Somewhere between the smores, hiking and bunk beds, Village Camp Flagstaff captures a feeling many adults have not experienced in years, if ever: summer camp.

Located in Bellemont, about 15 minutes west of Flagstaff, Village Camp Flagstaff opened in 2023 as an outdoor resort that blends the spirit of camping with the comfort of a modern vacation home.

A day spent outdoors at Village Camp Flagstaff

Mornings here often start early, with toddlers pedaling bikes down pathways and families drifting toward the clubhouse for coffee. Midday brings some to the pool and others to ATV adventures or exploring the surrounding Northern Arizona landscape. After dinner, many guests gather around their outdoor fire pits to make s’mores and spend time with friends and neighbors under the open sky.

Part campground, part resort and part mountain neighborhood, Village Camp feels designed for families who want to spend more time outside and less time planning activities.

Built for staying and playing

The resort layout reinforces that sense of shared outdoor living. Guests can stay in tiny-home-style cabins or park at full-service RV sites, with access to a wide range of on-property amenities designed to keep everything within reach but never crowded.

A central clubhouse anchors the experience, with a restaurant, bar and general store serving as the social center of the resort. Just beyond it, a seasonal pool, year-round hot tub, playground, basketball court and pickleball courts sit alongside hiking paths and open lawn games.

During the summer months, the amphitheater hosts rotating live music performances and outdoor movies for guests of all ages, drawing guests together at the end of the day.

The cabin accommodations range from studios to three-bedroom units that sleep up to 10 guests. Each cabin includes a kitchenette or full kitchen setup, outdoor grills and fireplaces, and private outdoor space, with select units offering rooftop decks. The cabins are climate-controlled and designed for year-round stays, arranged in a neighborhood-style layout throughout the property.

For RV travelers, Village Camp offers full-hookup sites, ranging from standard spaces to premium lots with patios, outdoor kitchens, and fireplaces. Guests have access to the same resort amenities as cabin renters.

A second home in the mountains

For those who fall in love with the lifestyle, Village Camp also offers cabin ownership, allowing buyers to own a vacation retreat while using it as a home base for future Northern Arizona adventures. Village Camp’s core mission is “to unlock access to adventure and the ability to explore the outdoors while also providing attainable second homes in adventure-based destinations.”

Village Camp currently operates resorts in Flagstaff; Truckee-Tahoe, Calif.; and Moab, Utah, with future locations planned in Park City, Utah, and Durango, Colo.

The best of both worlds

For those who love the idea of camping but appreciate a comfortable bed, hot shower and a restaurant within walking distance, Village Camp Flagstaff delivers the best of both worlds.

It captures the magic of summer camp. Only this time, the adults get to enjoy it, too.
