A career shaped by accomplished kitchens

Before joining Urban Farmer Denver, Biederman held executive chef positions at EDGE Restaurant & Bar at Four Seasons Hotel Denver and The Bristol Restaurant & Bar at Four Seasons Hotel Boston.

She later led the opening of Water Grill Denver in LoDo, overseeing a seafood-driven menu centered on sustainable sourcing and coastal flavors.

Earlier in her career, Biederman worked as a sous chef under Michael Mina and Eric Ripert. Those experiences helped shape the technique, discipline and modern American perspective she brings to the kitchen today.

A fresh chapter at Urban Farmer Denver

At Urban Farmer, Biederman is introducing diners to her culinary point of view through seasonal menus and collaborative experiences.

Her programming includes quarterly tasting-menu dinners developed with local growers, producers and beverage partners. These events allow Biederman to create focused menus around a particular ingredient, season or shared experience.

A recent dinner highlighted time she spent at Oregon’s Belle Pente Vineyard & Winery, translating that experience into a menu paired with the vineyard’s wines. The event illustrates how she draws from her career and personal connections to create dining experiences with a clear narrative.

Recipe for success

Biederman’s varied career gives her a broad foundation from which to lead one of downtown Denver’s prominent restaurants. She has worked in luxury hotels, learned from influential chefs and overseen the launch of a seafood restaurant in a competitive dining market.

Biederman strengthens Colorado’s dining community by cultivating personal relationships with farms, ranches and fisheries.

These partnerships give her a firsthand understanding of the ingredients entering her kitchen and the people responsible for producing them. They also create opportunities to introduce diners to Colorado growers and purveyors through special menus and collaborative events.

By placing those relationships at the center of her work, Biederman reinforces the connection between the region’s culinary community and the land, water and producers that sustain it.
