What’s new at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge

Having just visited Disneyland, I can tell you that avid Star Wars fans (like me) are in for several Star Wars treats.

More beloved characters have entered the chat

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge has introduced several character additions. Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, Leia Organa, BDX droids have joined stormtroopers, and The Mandalorian and Grogu roam the galaxy, often appearing in designated areas.

Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run embarks on a limited-edition adventure

Coming off the heels of “Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu,” Smugglers Run adds a mission for you and the two beloved characters to navigate. Riders will experience a fast-paced journey through Bespin, the wreckage of the second Death Star around Endor or the planet of Coruscant.

The fact that the engineer position allows for direct communication with Grogu during the mission is the icing on the cake!

The Spires of Batuu at night

As if Galaxy’s Edge wasn’t already a spectacle at night, for a limited time, Grogu tests his power to recall fond memories of his adventures with The Mandalorian in “The Curious Child,” playing after “Shadows of Memory: A Skywalker Saga.”

These nightly projections add even more wonder to the galaxy, illuminating the spires of Batuu near the Millennium Falcon.

A fun-filled celebration for all with “Bluey’s Best Day Ever!”

Bluey fans, young and old(er) are going to get a kick out of “Bluey’s Best Day Ever!” Bluey and Bingo don the Fantasyland Theatre near “It’s a Small World,” for a fantastic, high-energy sing-and-dance-along performance.

Parents and caregivers will also be happy to know that in addition to the on-stage show, the theatre has an open area below the stage with a play area. Complete with Bluey-themed play structures, this space is perfect for littles to play and get out their sillies before the show.

I recommend fueling up for the show at the neighboring Troubadour Tavern. Bluey-themed food and beverage offerings are available, including a kids’ meal combo for $5.99. I also suggest getting to the theatre early to reserve your seat — this venue fills up quickly!

Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration continues through Aug. 9, 2026

If you haven’t yet been to Disneyland during the Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration, this is the time to visit. Both Disneyland and California Adventure continue to have limited-time experiences, specialty food and beverage, themed merchandise and entertainment offerings until Aug. 9, 2026.

Stay tuned for more stories on summer programming and activations at Disneyland Resort.
