The Washington Inn is Santa Fe is officially open. This luxury all-suite hotel offers guests a new way to stay in one of the country’s most visited cities. The new luxury hotel in the Historic District has 27 suites with 44 bedrooms in total.

Thoughtful architecture rooted in local heritage

Designed by local architecture firm, Architecture Alliance, the Washington Inn unfolds across four distinct buildings: a carefully preserved historic building, two newly built structures that honor Territorial architecture, and a newly built casita designed for sanctuary. Honored throughout are modern Territorial design elements of the 1950s, including stacked stone accents, metal trim and brick coping. Each building is named for a figure who has had a hand in the history of the property—Hughes, McKee, Kruger, and Terrell.

Located just off its namesake, Washington Avenue, the Inn is a three-minute walk from the iconic Santa Fe Plaza and steps from world-class restaurants, galleries, and historic landmarks. The one-acre property sits in the heart of the city yet feels worlds away. The property sits quietly tucked away from major streets and will be landscaped as a private oasis, with several communal gathering spots throughout.

Residential-style suites with modern comforts

The Washington Inn’s 27 accommodations range from 321 square feet to nearly 2,000 square feet, including:

Three studios
10 one-bedroom suites
11 two-bedroom suites and three three-bedroom suites
The variety provides options for couples, solo travelers, families and friends traveling together

The one-, two- and three-bedroom suites offer residential comforts, including full kitchens with Made In cookware, living and dining areas, gas fireplaces, washers and dryers and en suite bathrooms for each bedroom. L’Occitane toiletries add another touch of comfort. Studios offer a more compact option, with amenities that differ from those in the larger suites.

Whitewashed walls and wood flooring are contrasted by rich cabinet colors, textiles, and artwork that reflect the global travel that was becoming accessible in the mid-century like never before. Every space celebrates a blend of art traditions—from folk to modern to quintessential Southwestern—like the large custom oil painting of Diablo Canyon by local Santa Fe artist, Lee MacLeod, that will adorn the lobby.
