Why this Albuquerque hotel is celebrating a major milestone
Originally built in 1926 as the Santa Fe Railway Hospital, the property served railroad employees for decades before later operating as a psychiatric hospital. Following years of vacancy, the building was thoughtfully restored and reopened as Hotel Parq Central in 2010.

Today, the 74-room boutique hotel blends historic architecture with modern amenities and remains one of Albuquerque’s most distinctive places to stay.
“This is a milestone that only comes around once,” says Marc Bertram, owner of Hotel Parq Central. “We want to celebrate the anniversary all year long and give both visitors and locals alike a chance to celebrate with us.”
