Why Napa Rose is worth the splurge at Disneyland

Away from parade routes and popcorn carts, Napa Rose has reopened following a thoughtful reimagining timed to its 25th anniversary. Originally opened in 2001, the restaurant has long been considered the crown jewel of fine dining at Disneyland Resort. Now, it begins its next chapter with a refreshed design and an elevated tasting experience that leans deeper into California wine country inspiration.

A 25-year legacy, thoughtfully evolved

Few restaurants at Disneyland carry the staying power of Napa Rose. For a quarter century, it has served as a destination for anniversaries, milestone birthdays and celebratory evenings.

Culinary Director Andrew Sutton, who helped shape Napa Rose at its inception, remains at the helm. His expertise has enable him to help expand the restaurant’s offerings with seasonal ingredients and broader international influences.

The tasting menu experience

The main dining room centers around a four-course tasting menu, where guests choose from multiple options within each course.

Opening menu highlights include:

• Colorado rack of lamb
• Tangerine roasted rocky chicken
• Miso cabbage scallion crepes
• Fiscalini reserve white cheddar cannoli
• Warm apple honey brioche

Execution is led by Executive Chef Clint Chin, whose classical French training brings precision to wine country flavors.

For those who prefer a more relaxed experience, the bar and lounge offer an à la carte menu featuring refined small plates, charcuterie and indulgent additions such as Osetra golden caviar service.

A wine cellar built for serious collectors

Napa Rose’s wine program remains one of its defining features.

Under the direction of Wine Director Patrick Kirchen, the cellar houses more than 13,000 bottles across approximately 1,500 labels. The collection emphasizes California while spanning the world’s most important wine regions.

Whether pairing with the tasting menu or ordering by the glass, the depth of the program blends seamlessly throughout the entire dining experience.

Cocktails include house-made juices and tinctures to accentuate beverages like the East of Furnace Creek and the Sequoia Skyline, a Manhattan interpretation infused with Redwood smoke.

A redesigned space inspired by Napa Valley

The interior redesign draws inspiration from California’s Arts and Crafts tradition and the textures of Napa Valley.

Guests enter past a dramatic wine wall installation before moving into a dining room defined by warm woods, cork, leather and stone. A chandelier modeled after the Mission Vine hangs overhead, complete with glass grape clusters. Wooden columns echo wine barrels. Arched ceilings frame vineyard-inspired murals.

Distinct dining areas include an open show kitchen, private dining room, outdoor terraces and a bar and lounge.
