The return of a Lone Tree staple: Jack’s Modern Steakhouse

After a temporary closure earlier this year, Jack’s Modern Steakhouse is set to reopen its Lone Tree location on April 28, 2026, following an electrical fire that caused significant smoke damage throughout the restaurant. Now fully restored, the modern steakhouse returns with new menu additions and a speakeasy bar concept on the horizon.

A return to Lone Tree

The January 22 fire, which originated inside a second-floor wall, was quickly contained by South Metro Fire Rescue with no injuries reported. While the incident led to extensive smoke damage across the 13,600-square-foot space, months of restoration have prepared the restaurant for its return.

A comeback shaped by community support

Throughout the closure, Jack’s Modern Steakhouse retained 80% of its Lone Tree staff, with employees remaining fully paid through insurance coverage. The decision reflects the restaurant’s commitment to its team and the community that supported it during the unexpected pause.

“This community showed up for us in a way we’ll never forget,” says Darryl Shoemake president of Jack’s Modern Steakhouse. “From the moment news of the fire spread, the outpouring of support from our neighbors, guests and the Lone Tree community was overwhelming. We couldn’t wait to get back, and we’ve used this time to come back stronger than ever, with some exciting new additions we think people are really going to love.”

New menu additions join signature favorites

Guests returning on April 28 can expect the same elevated dining experience, including Jack’s all-Wagyu steak program, dry-aged seafood, Triple Combo Sashimi and award-winning cocktails.

New to the menu is Chef Oscar Diaz Lechuga’s Wagyu of Pork entrée, an Iberico Secreto from Spain, joining Lone Tree exclusives like Bone Marrow, Beef and Reef Paella, Lobster Ravioli and Pineapple Red Curry Chicken.

A speakeasy experience is on the way

Looking ahead, the Lone Tree location will introduce a new speakeasy bar in early May, offering an intimate, lower-level experience distinct from the brand’s Pearl Street location. Additional details on the concept and design are expected soon.

Dining hours and details

Jack’s Modern Steakhouse Lone Tree will reopen to the public on Tuesday, April 28, serving lunch and brunch daily from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., followed by happy hour from 2:30 to 5 p.m. Dinner service begins at 5 p.m. nightly.

“We’ve always believed food and hospitality are about connection,” says Chef Oscar Diaz Lechuga. “Coming back to Lone Tree means everything to our team. We’ve put our hearts into this reopening, and we can’t wait to share what’s next with the community.”
