A reimagined desert escape in Old Town Scottsdale
Located just steps from the heart of Old Town Scottsdale, Hotel Solaya blends contemporary creativity with the spirit of the Sonoran Desert. The reimagined property features 194 redesigned guest rooms and suites, art-driven common spaces, curated dining experiences, a spa and fitness center, and an outdoor pool deck designed to reflect the area’s social energy.
The name “Solaya” draws from “Sol,” meaning sun, and “Aya,” the goddess of dawn, an intentional nod to renewal, creativity and the quiet magic of desert mornings.

Design rooted in the Sonoran Desert
Hotel Solaya’s design leans into a bold modern Mexican aesthetic, where sculptural architecture, layered textures and a play of light and shadow create a space that feels both elevated and inviting.
Rooted in the tones and textures of the Sonoran landscape, the property balances cultural richness with contemporary minimalism. The result is a hotel experience that feels immersive yet approachable, with every detail reflecting a sense of curiosity and connection.
“Hotel Solaya was designed to celebrate the energy of Scottsdale while offering guests a space that feels both vibrant and welcoming,” says Tobby Rau, general manager of Hotel Solaya.

Elevated dining experiences
At the center of the hotel’s culinary lineup is Ella on the Park, a modern American restaurant set to open in late spring overlooking Civic Center Park. The restaurant will seat up to 150 guests across indoor and outdoor spaces, with a menu that highlights smokehouse techniques through a contemporary lens.
A 360-degree bar anchors the space, creating a natural gathering point for sunset cocktails, celebratory dinners and social evenings. Brunch service is expected to debut later this fall.
For more casual moments, Common Ground Bistro offers an all-day dining experience with American bistro-style fare, from morning coffee to light bites, making it a go-to spot for both travelers and locals.

The Pool at Solaya sets the tone from the moment guests arrive. Designed as both a relaxing retreat and a lively social hub, the expansive outdoor space features cabanas, lounge seating and bar and grill service.
Events, celebrations and gatherings
Hotel Solaya also brings a strong events component to the Old Town landscape, with seven flexible venues designed for everything from corporate meetings to weddings.
Highlights include a 3,500-square-foot outdoor lawn ideal for open-air celebrations and a 2,600-square-foot ballroom with high ceilings and a customizable layout for larger events and receptions.
