Rochelle Daniel to open 2 new Flagstaff restaurants this summer
Two-time James Beard Award semifinalist Rochelle Daniel, the chef and owner behind Atria, is expanding her footprint in historic downtown Flagstaff with two new concepts set to open later this summer: Pompette, a French bistro and bakery, and Little Rich Girl, an underground speakeasy-style cocktail bar.
Located steps from Atria on Leroux Street, the new additions will give Daniel ownership of three distinct dining concepts within the same downtown corridor, creating what could become one of Northern Arizona’s most exciting culinary destinations.

Why Rochelle Daniel has become one of Arizona’s most recognized chefs
Since opening Atria in 2021, Daniel has helped elevate Flagstaff’s reputation as a dining destination.
The Arizona native has earned two James Beard Foundation semifinalist nominations, including Best Chef: Southwest in 2026 and Emerging Chef in 2022. She was also inducted into the Arizona Culinary Hall of Fame as Best Upcoming Chef and has appeared on both CBS’s “America’s Culinary Cup” and Food Network’s “Chopped Grill Masters.”
Her newest ventures continue a career built around ingredient-driven menus, thoughtful hospitality and a willingness to explore different culinary styles.
“Downtown Flagstaff is something special, and Leroux Street will soon be at the center of its food scene,” Daniel says. “Between Atria, Pompette and Little Rich Girl, we’re creating the kind of culinary corner that usually only exists in much larger cities.”
What to expect at Pompette in downtown Flagstaff
Pompette will bring a classic French bistro experience to the high country, combining a full-service restaurant with a morning bakery program.
Each day will begin with fresh pastries and artisan breads crafted by Pastry Chef Alicia Motter, available through a grab-and-go bakery counter.
Lunch and dinner service will follow, featuring French-inspired dishes including steak frites, mussels, tuna tartare, coq au vin and hearth-fired meats prepared over a custom open-fire grill.
Additional menu highlights are expected to include:
- Poulet Rôti with potato, dill and mustard velouté
- Short Rib Bourguignon
- Lobster Roll on house-made brioche
- Grilled Wagyu skewers
The restaurant’s design combines custom tilework, rich wood finishes and floral touches intended to create a space that feels both elevated and approachable.

Inside Little Rich Girl, Flagstaff’s new underground cocktail bar
Beneath Pompette and Atria, Little Rich Girl embraces Flagstaff’s lesser-known history of underground drinking culture, secret tunnels and Prohibition-era lore.
The intimate cocktail bar features deep blue velvet seating, dark wood paneling and a central bar designed for leisurely evenings and carefully crafted cocktails.
The beverage program is led by Beverage Director Michael Hopper, who was named Top Mixologist/Bartender at the 2025 Foodist Awards.
While the cocktail program aims high, the food menu takes a playful approach.
Guests can expect everything from caviar service and foie gras pâté to a signature Smashburger, tableside cinnamon rolls, hot fudge sundaes and the aptly named “Tots and Shots,” a pairing of caviar-topped tater tots and chilled vodka.

Why Leroux Street could become Flagstaff’s hottest dining block
Flagstaff has never lacked personality, but its culinary reputation has grown significantly in recent years.
With Atria already drawing attention from food lovers across Arizona, the addition of Pompette and Little Rich Girl creates a rare concentration of chef-driven dining concepts within a few steps of one another.
For visitors staying downtown or making a weekend trip from Phoenix, the cluster offers three entirely different experiences, from modern American cuisine to French comfort food and craft cocktails.
