Located in Denver’s LoDo district, the Oxford Hotel has welcomed guests for more than 135 years. Opened in 1891 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the property was once considered a “city within a city.” The name derives from the property’s dining rooms, a library, a pharmacy, a Western Union office, stables and a saloon under one roof.

Why it’s worth your time

The Oxford Hotel’s anniversary package combines some of Colorado’s most recognizable experiences into a single stay, from historic LoDo and Union Station to locally crafted bourbon, Western fashion and luxury wellness. For travelers looking to celebrate Colorado’s sesquicentennial in style, it offers an experience rooted in both the state’s history and its future.

Raise a glass to Colorado history

Part of the experience includes a visit to the Cruise Room, one of Denver’s most iconic cocktail destinations. The Art Deco bar originally opened on Dec. 5, 1933, the same day Prohibition ended, and remains one of the city’s most recognizable historic gathering places.

Guests will also receive a commemorative bottle of The Oxford’s custom bourbon created in partnership with Laws Whiskey House, one of Colorado’s best-known distilleries.

The Oxford Hotel’s special $150 anniversary room rate

In addition to the anniversary package, the Oxford Hotel is introducing a special commemorative room rate to celebrate Colorado’s milestone year.

For 150 days, one room per night will be available for $150, with the hotel’s Destination Amenity Fee waived. The offer provides travelers with a rare opportunity to stay at one of Denver’s most historic hotels at a significantly reduced rate.
