The Crawford Hotel puts Denver’s best attractions at your doorstep

The former multi-floor offices within the Denver Union Station perimeter are now the guestrooms of The Crawford Hotel. Outside the doors of hotel rooms, guests can enjoy a bird’s-eye view of Union Station — a sight to behold.

For those who want to experience all that Denver Union Station has to offer (which is a lot), The Crawford is the place to stay.

Guests have direct access to:

  • Ultreia and Mercantile Dining & Provision
  • Pigtrain Coffee Co. for coffee and Milkbox Ice Creamery for ice cream
  • Terminal Bar and Cooper Lounge for cocktails
  • Tattered Cover Book Store
  • Beet & Yarrow and Telluride Truffle kiosks for flowers, chocolates and gifts

We would recommend scheduling a day dedicated to exploring Union Station. There is so much to see and do, and honestly, cozy lounge spaces are perfect for sitting down with your laptop or a good book.

The restaurants are spectacular. Ulteria, a Spanish-inspired tapas restaurant, is one of the best dining spots we’ve experienced in LoDo for small bites and laid-back ambiance.

Beyond Union Station, Coors Field is a short walk, and Larimer Square and the 16th Street entertainment area are close by to the hotel.

Editor’s note: One feature we loved and used often is the Free Ride electric buses that run along 16th Street. This made it so easy to navigate downtown restaurants, shops and attractions without worrying about parking or rideshares.

Historic guestrooms blend vintage charm with modern comfort

Crawford guestrooms blend the best of vintage decor and finishes with modern comfort. One of the decor elements we noticed right away was the floral wallpaper on the ceiling. Touches like this and an old-school clawfoot tub in the bathroom are examples of what make a Crawford stay memorable.

Rooms are surprisingly insulated from the station’s buzz, day and night. Even after a post-Rockies crowd walked by the hotel, we were sheltered from outside noise.

Amenities that elevate your stay

The Crawford offers several amenities for guests, including:

  • A choice of adult beverage (these rotate between wine, whiskey and craft beer) or sparkling water
  • A complimentary brewed coffee card to redeem at Pig Train Coffee
  • In-room Nespresso makers
  • Spectacular views of downtown Denver

Additionally, the hotel hosts “Spritz at the Station” in the Parlour. The weekly, guided spritz-making bar activation takes place from 5 to 7 p.m.
