A childhood shaped by hospitality
With a hotelier father and a childhood that included global travel, Cherrett encountered hospitality from an early age. Hotels often served as home base, giving him a close view of the care and coordination behind welcoming guests.
His teenage years in Jackson introduced another influence: the town’s snowboard and arts culture. Creative pursuits such as origami and knitting let him explore his interests through hands-on work.
Cooking eventually became an outlet that combined that artistic curiosity with the pleasure of taking care of people. In his home kitchen, he used meal prep to express himself while spending time with those closest to him.

Recipe for success
At Madeline, Cherrett balances experimentation with the familiarity of dishes connected to his upbringing. Family favorites provide a starting point, while seasonal ingredients give him opportunities to explore different preparations and combinations.
His approach also extends beyond the food menu. Collaboration with the bar team brings his culinary sensibilities into the cocktail program, allowing ideas to move between the kitchen and bar. This exchange gives the team room to contribute to the restaurant’s identity while creating an experience shaped by more than one perspective.
Chef Quincy Cherrett’s impact on Colorado’s dining scene
Cherrett’s progression through different restaurant formats reflects the adaptability required to build an independent dining business.
During the pandemic, he launched 22 Provisions as a food truck. The business later grew into a stall at Avanti Food Hall before evolving into the bistro-style concept Eloise.

Now, as chef and owner of Madeline, he contributes to Denver’s dining landscape through a restaurant with a distinctly personal point of view. His work brings together the experience of cooking in Mountain West kitchens and the lessons of developing his own concepts.
