Houston’s signature Fourth of July celebration returns with live entertainment, family-friendly activities, food vendors and one of the largest fireworks displays in the state. Held along Buffalo Bayou, Freedom Over Texas is expected to be one of the nation’s biggest America 250 celebrations and remains one of the premier Independence Day events in Texas.

San Antonio is going all out for America’s 250th anniversary with Stars & Stripes on Houston Street. The celebration includes live entertainment, food vendors, family activities and a fireworks display over Civic Park, creating one of the most anticipated Independence Day events in South Texas.

South Padre Island turns Independence Day into a weeklong celebration

South Padre Island is embracing America’s 250th anniversary with a full week of festivities. Visitors can enjoy multiple fireworks displays, the annual Beach Parade, First Friday Art Walk and a variety of family-friendly activities throughout the island.

Known as the Fireworks Capital of Texas, South Padre Island offers several opportunities to watch fireworks over both the bay and Gulf waters, culminating with the destination’s signature Fourth of July fireworks display on July 4.
