Guests were welcomed to an intimate preview of Pizzicata’s newest Glendale location during an exclusive evening celebrating Italian craftsmanship, hospitality and tradition. The night featured curated bites by Chef Viola Tagliaferri, cofounder of Pizzicata with a guided sampling of the favorite wines of Federico Venturini, cofounder of Pizzicata. The Italian spirit of the family-driven restaurant carried over from food to live music, and hands-on pasta-making classes that offered a behind-the-scenes look at the artistry behind each dish.

A family legacy rooted in Umbria

Officially open as of January 15, 2026, the family-owned restaurant, founded in 2018 by Umbria natives Venturini and Tagliaferri, brings the heart of Italy to The Citadelle Plaza in Glendale, with handcrafted pinsa, authentic Neapolitan pizza, and classic Italian cuisine, all served within a thoughtfully designed space featuring multiple dining rooms, patios and a private area for chef-led experiences.

“Pizzicata brings the heart of Italy to Glendale, blending family tradition, handcrafted cuisine and immersive dining experiences.”

Chef Viola Tagliaferri led a hands-on pasta-making class for guests of the new Pizzicata Glendale restaurant.

Classic dishes with a playful twist

The menu blends tradition with indulgence, showcasing standout dishes like the award-winning Pappardelle Wagyu Bolognese made with wild boar, wagyu beef and Iberico pork, finished with cheese fondue. Tagliaferri’s Eggplant Parmigiana delivers a timeless Italian favorite layered with fried eggplant, tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella and basil.

Signature pizzas add a playful touch, including the Gucci Pizza with n’duja and ricotta, the Dolce & Gabbana Pizza topped with prosciutto, fig and honey. The Versace Pizza finished with meatballs and cheese fondue. For dessert, the Spumoni Bomba offers a striking finale with strawberry, pistachio and chocolate gelato encased in a dark chocolate shell.

Growing across the Valley

With locations in Carefree, Mesa and now Glendale, Pizzicata continues to expand while staying rooted in authenticity, family and the joy of gathering around great food. To learn more, visit glendale.pizzicatausa.com.
