Andaz Scottsdale is buzzing with honey-inspired experiences this September
September is National Honey Month, and Andaz Scottsdale Resort & Bungalows is celebrating with something particularly sweet: honey harvested from the resort’s own onsite beehives. Throughout September, the Scottsdale resort is incorporating its homegrown honey into specialty dishes, cocktails, dining events and treatments at Palo Verde Spa & Apothecary.

Located on 23 acres near Old Town Scottsdale, Andaz Scottsdale established its on-site beekeeping program in partnership with urban beekeeping company Alvéole. The hives produce raw honey that the resort uses throughout the year at its signature restaurant, Weft & Warp Art Bar + Kitchen, and spa.
Honey hits the menu
Weft & Warp is giving its September menu a decidedly honeyed twist.
Breakfast brings:
- Honey Glazed Donut with citrus pastry cream ($9)
- Honey Oat Shaken Espresso ($16)

Later in the day, guests can sip their way through three specialty cocktails:
- Lavender Bee ($18)
- Buzzy Bee ($18)
- Honey, I’m Home ($20)
Complimentary honey-roasted peanuts will also be served at the bar. For dessert, Burnt Honey Gelato ($12) combines freeze-dried honey with toffee bits.
Turn up the heat
Things get a little spicier Sept. 26 during Weft & Warp’s Hot Honey Happy Hour.
Held from 4 to 6 p.m., the event features: hot honey fried chicken with chiltepin hot honey, house pickle and aioli, paired with Frites Street cottage fries.
Live music will accompany the happy hour, while an Alvéole pop-up will allow guests to learn more about honeybees and Andaz Scottsdale’s onsite hives.
Tickets are $15.

Honey meets the vine
The resort will close out National Honey Month Sept. 30 with its Honey & Vine Wine Dinner, a five-course tasting experience showcasing honey in some decidedly unexpected ways.
The evening begins with Beet & Burrata finished with honey tuile and paired with a South African Chenin Blanc, followed by Bluefin with burnt honey-chili crunch and puffed rice.
Rosemary-honey-cured Duck Confit comes next, followed by 7-Day Honey-Cured Wagyu paired with Cabernet Sauvignon. Honey Cake and Royal Tokaji provide a suitably sweet finale.
The dinner takes place from 5:30 to 8 p.m., with tickets starting at $125++, and each course includes a wine pairing.
A little honey at the spa

National Honey Month extends beyond the plate at Palo Verde Spa & Apothecary, where four limited-time treatments incorporate honey-inspired ingredients, scents and skin care.
Honey spa treatments include:
- Just Bee Massage ($210 for 60 minutes; $280 for 90 minutes) combines a Swedish-style massage with warm honey balm and a milk-and-honey scent.
- Bee Natural Facial ($210 for 60 minutes) targets skin tone and texture and finishes with moisturizing honey lip butter, while the
- Meant to Bee Scrub ($225 for 60 minutes) uses honey granules for exfoliation followed by orange whipped body butter.
- Bee You Manicure ($75 for 30 minutes) or Pedicure ($95 for 45 minutes) features warm milk-and-honey aromatherapy.
The National Honey Month food, beverage and spa offerings are available throughout September at Andaz Scottsdale Resort & Bungalows. Hot Honey Happy Hour takes place Sept. 26, while the Honey & Vine Wine Dinner is Sept. 30.
