Perched in the mezzanine of Denver’s Union Station, The Cooper Lounge is hosting a glamorous, all-inclusive Derby Day celebration from noon to 5 p.m. Guests can enjoy reserved seating with prime race viewing across multiple large screens, a festive photo booth and live entertainment by DJ Chris.

The experience leans into classic Derby flair, with complimentary rose corsages and boutonnieres. Unlimited cocktails are included, featuring Maker’s Mark Signature Mint Juleps, Blanc de Blancs sparkling wine, Roku French 75s, Strawberry Rhubarb Haku Vodka Collins and 197 Vodka Seltzers.

The event is priced at $120 per person and is open to guests 21 and older, with advance advanced reservations required here.

A scenic Vail Valley celebration with a festive twist

In the Vail Valley, Lookout Bar in Avon is hosting a lively Derby Party with panoramic views of Beaver Creek. The event is free to attend (with reservations required) and leads up to the official post time at 4:57 p.m.

Guests are encouraged to arrive in their Derby best, with a Best Dressed contest offering prizes including $100 gift certificates for both Best Hat and Best Dressed. Behind the bar, Derby-inspired cocktails take center stage, including the classic Mint Julep made with bourbon, mint, simple syrup and crushed ice.

The celebration continues into the evening, with late-night happy hour specials and seasonal savings on cocktails and bites. Reservations required.
