Refreshed Windflower Spa ushers in a new era of Hill Country wellness

Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Villas has completed a full renovation of its Windflower Spa, further enhancing the guest experience at the 300-acre Texas Hill Country resort. The refreshed spa introduces upgraded amenities and thoughtful design enhancements that blend upscale relaxation with the property’s signature ranch-inspired setting.

The Windflower Spa renovation is part of the resort’s broader enhancement project, which includes the addition of five standalone luxury villas, transformed guestrooms and suites, and updated meeting spaces and restaurants. Together, these updates create a more immersive, wellness-focused getaway for both resort guests and the local community.

A renewed spa experience designed for relaxation

The renovated Windflower Spa was designed to enhance tranquility through refreshed interiors and upgraded spaces. New fixtures, updated décor, and curated artwork bring a modern sensibility to the spa while maintaining its rustic elegance. The spa’s salon has also been upgraded with state-of-the-art manicure and pedicure stations designed to elevate the guest experience.

“We are thrilled to continue to elevate our resort experience with the debut of the updated Windflower Spa,” says Steven J. Smith, general manager of Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Villas. “Our gorgeous and tranquil setting, surrounded by giant oak trees and lush greenery, lends itself naturally to relaxation and serenity. Windflower Spa is designed to evoke a sense of calm from the moment guests step inside, and with the addition of our new villas located right next to the spa, we are able to offer an even more immersive wellness-focused getaway.”

Outdoors, the spa’s pool has been refinished and outfitted with new poolside lounge chairs. The surrounding relaxation areas were refreshed with updated landscaping and upgraded seating, creating a serene environment for guests to unwind before or after treatments.

Talpa room introduces space for wellness gatherings

A key addition to the spa renovation is the Talpa room, a new 1,105-square-foot customizable event space designed for intentional, wellness-infused gatherings. Featuring floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the spa’s outdoor pool, the Talpa room provides a dedicated venue for meetings, retreats and group wellness experiences.

Luxury villas offer seamless access to spa amenities

Windflower Spa is located just steps from the resort’s newly introduced luxury villas. Each 2,336-square-foot ranch-style villa features four bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, spacious living and dining areas, a fully equipped kitchen, and two private patios complete with a firepit, grill and comfortable seating.

Guests staying in the villas enjoy direct access to the spa’s premier amenities, including an outdoor relaxation area with a koi pond and Adirondack chairs, peaceful daybed swings suspended from mature oak trees, a whirlpool, eucalyptus steam room and sauna.

Rooted in Texas Hill Country heritage

Designed to honor the history of the Rogers-Wiseman Ranch, Windflower Spa reflects the character of a traditional Texas barn. The structure incorporates reclaimed wood sourced from historic regional buildings, including an abandoned drug store in Austin, a whiskey distillery and the Timber Peanut Mill in Brady, Texas. While the iconic red barn exterior nods to the past, the interior reveals a refined spa environment with modern comforts and state-of-the-art amenities.

Treatments inspired by local botanical

The spa’s treatment menu draws inspiration from the botanicals and heritage of the Texas Hill Country. Signature offerings include Aunt Mary’s Herbal Remedies, a restorative experience named after a founding member of the Rogers-Wiseman Ranch family that features aromatherapy, gentle body brushing exfoliation and a soothing massage.

Additional services range from CBD-infused facials and massages to deluxe pedicure retreats, all designed to renew both body and mind.

A look ahead at expanded wellness offerings

This spring, Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Villas will further enhance its on-site wellness experience with the debut of a 2.2-acre man-made lagoon powered by Crystal Lagoons® technology. The lagoon will introduce white sandy beaches, private cabanas, water sports, and a new poolside food and beverage venue, along with wellness programming such as standup paddleboard yoga, mat Pilates and beachfront yoga sessions.
