A structured approach to modern wellness travel

Designed as curated two- and three-night stays, the new retreats transform geothermal soaking into a guided, immersive journey rooted in hydrotherapy, evidence-based wellness practices and intentional design.

As wellness travel evolves toward experiences that feel structured yet restorative, the new Retreats blend science, ritual and space for personal transformation through the therapeutic potential of mineral water.

“Both of these destinations have always been places people came to feel better,” says Dr. Marcus Coplin, ND, medical director for both resorts. “Retreats are our way of honoring that heritage while bringing forward a clearer, more supported wellness experience that guests can actually carry home.”

A shared philosophy shaped by place

While each property reflects its own landscape and history, both are grounded in the same belief: wellness is most impactful when structure, science and space work together with intention.

At The Springs Resort, located along the San Juan River, more than 50 geothermal soaking pools are fed by the Mother Spring, the deepest geothermal hot spring on Earth. The resort’s water-centered philosophy, known as Soakology, integrates mineral soaking, thermal pathways, spa therapies and nature-forward experiences.

Murrieta Hot Springs Resort, originally founded in 1902 and reopened in 2024 after an extensive revitalization, spans 46 acres between Los Angeles and San Diego. The restored destination features more than 50 soaking experiences, a central hydrotherapy Bathhouse, Clay Cove mineral clay rituals and guided programming designed for accessible, short-format resets.

Four themed retreats centered on hydrothermal practice

Each retreat is organized around one of four themes: Connect, Explore, Restore and Revitalize. While the themes are shared, programming is tailored to each resort’s setting and amenities.

Connect

Focused on grounding and meaningful connection, Connect blends guided water-based rituals, social soaking and reflective experiences. At Murrieta, communal geothermal practices and clay rituals take center stage. At The Springs Resort, riverside soaking and guided wellness sessions encourage connection with both self and surroundings.

Explore

Designed to reignite energy and curiosity, Explore incorporates contrast bathing, hydrothermal circuits and movement-based programming. Guests experience intentional thermal pathways, outdoor adventure elements and recovery-focused rituals that support circulation and mental clarity.

Restore

Created to address stress and burnout, Restore centers on deep mineral soaks, cooling immersion and quiet rest intervals. Both resorts emphasize nervous system support and sustained relaxation through thoughtfully sequenced geothermal practices.

Revitalize

The most intensive offering, Revitalize focuses on metabolic activation and circulation through strategic heat and cold cycles. Contrast bathing, guided rituals and restorative therapies aim to clear fatigue and support peak physical and mental performance.
