Sanctuary Camelback Mountain completes major event space renovation
Designed to enhance everything from executive retreats and wellness-focused offsites to intimate weddings and large-scale celebrations, the transformation spans 8,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space. The reimagined venues blend seamlessly into the surrounding Sonoran Desert landscape, offering panoramic views of Camelback Mountain and the iconic Praying Monk formation.
“This $7 million transformation represents a pivotal moment for Sanctuary Camelback Mountain as we enter 2026,” says Laura McIver, general manager of Sanctuary Camelback Mountain Resort & Spa. “The reimagined spaces honor our commitment to exceptional experiences while solidifying our position as the premier destination for sophisticated gatherings in the greater Phoenix area.”

Reimagined venues with desert views front and center
The renovation includes upgrades to the resort’s Views Ballroom, Views Terrace, Paradise Views, Lower Lawn and Cholla meeting room, each thoughtfully redesigned to maximize sightlines and flexibility.
The 3,851-square-foot Views Ballroom underwent a dramatic redesign, including enhancements to the north facade that removed visual obstructions such as fireplaces and partial walls. The result is an uninterrupted reveal of the surrounding desert vistas.
Architectural updates to the west and north elevations introduce new storefront windows and doors, along with a sculptural brise soleil sun shade that wraps the building on three sides, delivering both aesthetic cohesion and functional shade.
Outdoors, the Views Lawn and Terrace now feature flexible seating across upper, middle and lower tiers, allowing planners to customize layouts for everything from sunset ceremonies to multi-day conferences.

Spaces designed for versatility and celebration
The Cholla meeting room and Paradise Views areas received refreshed finishes and design details, enhancing both ambiance and functionality. Together, the updated portfolio supports events ranging from intimate 12-person private chef’s table experiences to 280-guest weddings, all paired with highly curated services, award-winning catering and signature Sanctuary hospitality.
Wellness-driven programming for modern meetings
With holistic wellness at the core of the resort’s identity, the renovation also introduces new group programming designed to support mind, body and soul.
The Elements Package is a newly launched group itinerary inspired by the desert’s natural elements — earth, air, fire and water — blending meeting productivity with movement, mindfulness and cuisine in a “meet well” approach.

Mental fitness workshops, offered in partnership with Kinfolk Optimal Living Workshop, provide groups with body-based tools for nervous system awareness, grounding techniques, guided reflection and strategies for focus and resilience.
Executive residences for high-level retreats
For C-suite gatherings and private strategy sessions, Sanctuary’s villas — including Villa del Sol, Villa Ventana and Villa Montaña — now serve as fully serviced executive residences. These spaces offer hyper-personalized amenities such as private chef-prepared dinners, villa concierge services and in-villa wellness experiences.
With its newly reimagined venues, expanded wellness programming and breathtaking Paradise Valley setting, Sanctuary Camelback Mountain continues to raise the bar for luxury meetings and celebrations in the Southwest.
