Perfect Pear Bistro expands to Chandler

Local family-owned restaurant Perfect Pear Bistro recently introduced its third Valley restaurant. Situated just east of Loop 101 on Chandler Blvd., the new location marks the expansion of the popular eatery into the Chandler area.

Grilled cheese please

Known for their award-winning grilled cheeses and expansive menu, Perfect Pear serves up modern American comfort food made with fresh, local ingredients in a warm, inviting atmosphere. The popular bistro also accounts for a variety of palates and dietary needs (including gluten-free bread for irresistible grilled cheese sandwiches).

The menu features a plethora of salads, sandwiches, grilled cheeses, wraps, soups, tacos, pastas, quinoa bowls, and appetizers with seasonal flavors that change throughout the year. Guests can complement their meal with a curated selection of craft beers, wines and specialty cocktails, available at happy hour prices daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

“We’ve built a loyal following over the years, with many customers making the drive from Chandler to visit our Tempe locations. We’re thrilled to bring the signature Pear experience closer to their doorstep,” says Chris Hove, owner of Perfect Pear Bistro.

Family foundations

Perfect Pear Bistro was founded by husband and wife team Chris and Laura Hove (fun fact: Chris went to Corona High School and Laura went to Desert Vista). After working in the restaurant industry for many years — opening more than 30 restaurants for other companies — they finally followed their dreams and opened their own restaurant: the first Perfect Pear Bistro opened in the Ahwatukee Foothills in 2013.

Shortly after the success of the first Pear, the Hove’s opened the second location in South Tempe on Priest Dr. in 2014, followed by the third location in North Tempe on University Dr. near ASU in 2016. Although the original Ahwatukee location closed in 2019, the community support has never wavered, giving the family the confidence to continue expanding the concept to the surrounding East Valley area.

“Ever since we opened the first Pear over a decade ago, we’ve been overwhelmed by the incredible support of our local community, which has fueled our growth,” says Laura Hove, owner of Perfect Pear Bistro. “We can’t wait to serve our Chandler guests and become part of this vibrant community.”
