Lakeside Bar & Grill, a staple of the Northwest Valley for more than 16 years recently announced a brand new menu and a stunning renovation. Located at 9980 W. Happy Valley Parkway, Ste. 110, the Peoria restaurant has undergone an extensive redesign to enhance the dining experience while staying true to its community-focused roots.

Lakeside Bar & Grill revitalization
The new Lakeside layout brings a fresh, modern feel to the beloved local hangout, offering guests a more open and inviting space. Removing and lowering walls has made the entrance feel wide open, creating a sense of connection throughout the venue and improving sightlines.
The updated aesthetic features exposed brick walls, modern light fixtures and brand-new flooring, giving the space a cozy yet contemporary vibe. Adding to the charm is an authentic glider suspended above the bar, along with new state-of-the-art televisions placed throughout. Enhanced seating options include additional booths and tables, perfect for any occasion, whether it’s a date night, family gathering or game-day meetup. To top it off, a large new window between the bar and main entrance floods the space with natural light, making it feel even more welcoming.
New menu (but fan favorites remain for the long haul)
In addition to the interior, the menu has also been revamped. While Lakeside Bar & Grill has kept fan favorites like the flavorful wings, fresh burgers, and the all-you-can-eat Friday Fish Fry, they’ve introduced new dishes across all categories—salads, appetizers, burgers and entrees. Adults can also savor new cocktails and expanded beer options.
“We’re excited to share these new creations with our guests,” says Bill Toole, owner of POV Foods, the restaurant group that owns and operates Lakeside Bar & Grill. “We aim to deliver fresh, flavorful dishes that our community will love, and we believe these new specials are a perfect reflection of that.”
Apps and sammies
From the shareable appetizers, the Wings now come with two more enticing options: a zesty lemon pepper rub and the fiery tropic heat rub, adding to the seven other sauces available. For rib lovers, the Lakeside Ribs feature a half rack of fried ribs, tossed in a delicious sweet heat sauce. The Buffalo Shrimp offers crispy shrimp coated in a classic buffalo sauce, paired with house-made ranch dipping sauce for a perfect balance of heat and flavor.
Seafood fans will enjoy the Shoreline Calamari, hand-breaded and deep-fried, served with grilled lemon and house-made remoulade. For burger lovers, the Smash Burger features a smashed double beef patty, American cheese, caramelized onions, pickles and dijonnaise, creating a mouthwatering bite.
The Cuban Sandwich showcases slow-cooked pork carnitas, oven-roasted ham, Swiss cheese, pickles and dijonnaise, all on a hoagie roll. The Shrimp Po Boy offers beer-battered shrimp, garlic caper remoulade, lettuce, red onion and tomato on a hoagie roll.
For those seeking something spicier, the Chipotle Chicken Sandwich brings together grilled chicken, crispy bacon, pepper jack cheese, tomato, roasted jalapeno, avocado and chipotle ranch, served on focaccia bread. The Mango Crunch Salad is a refreshing mix of greens, cucumber, tomato, carrots, mango salsa and crispy wontons, tossed with a tangy mandarin orange ginger vinaigrette.
Entrees for days
For entrees, the Sweet Heat Shrimp Bowl offers a vibrant combination of grilled shrimp in a sweet heat sauce, served with broccoli, white rice, shredded carrots, red peppers, scallions and sesame seeds. The Tuscan Chicken Pasta delivers creamy pasta with grilled chicken, roasted mushrooms, spinach, cavatappi pasta and parmesan, all in a rich lemon caper butter sauce, served with toasted garlic focaccia.
The Crispy Roasted Chicken offers a golden, crispy half chicken, accompanied by roasted mashed potatoes and the vegetable of the day. Finally, the Shrimp Skewers are grilled and blackened to perfection, served with coconut rice, mango salsa and the vegetable of the day.
Beverage program
Highlights of the new drink menu include four new margaritas, such as the Sizzlin’ Strawberry Pineapple, made with Hornitos Plata, triple sec, pineapple, strawberry, and jalapeño and the Blueberry Coconut Blast, featuring Dulce Vida Blanco, Malibu, blueberry, blue curacao, lime and peach.
Other new cocktails include Mama’s Root Beer Martini, made with Captain Morgan, root beer schnapps, vanilla, and chocolate, and the XO Espresso Martini, with Patrón XO, chocolate vodka, espresso and cream.
The family-friendly sports bar and restaurant also added a Whiskey Wednesday to their daily specials lineup, which includes $5 off Jameson, Bulleit and Bulleit Rye drinks and $2 off burgers all day on Wednesday.
