The complete guide to the best après-ski spots in Park City
BOSW is thrilled to share the super-sized après ski guide penned by Rachel Friedman Elberts for Visit Park City. Here, Friedman Elberts provides a wealth of information on how to make the most of post-ski experiences in one of the Southwest’s premier winter playgrounds.
After a big day on the slopes, there’s the time-tested tradition that one simply must make time for after the lifts have closed: Après ski, the act of celebrating a good day on the hill. This is the “after-ski” enjoyment of good food and drink. In Park City, residents and visitors have a diverse array of bars and restaurants that cater to the post-ski crowd, as most après ski establishments offer small plates for sharing or entrees for heartier appetites, in addition to warming winter drinks and tasty libations.

The Visit Park City ultimate guide to après ski adventures
After a day spent carving up the mountains—an afternoon of eating, drinking and revelry, refueling, and toasting is warranted. Take a look at a few choice slope-side après spots where you can walk right to the bar and grab a stool.
The Umbrella Bar, Canyons Village
Open daily from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. the Umbrella Bar, a 21-and-older hotspot with a great outdoor patio, is within walking distance from the Red Pine Gondola — even in ski boots. Visitors can enjoy popular draft beers, live music, burgers and hot wings at the mountain’s base.
Drafts Burger Bar, Canyons Village
Drafts Burger Bar is a casual sports bar and grill located in the Westgate Resort but is accessible from the Canyons Plaza. Bringing together the popular concepts of gastro pubs and gourmet burger bars, Drafts features a menu of creatively designed appetizers, burgers, wings and stone hearth-baked pizzas paired with an extensive selection of draft and bottled beers, specialty microbrews, worldly wines and unique cocktail beverages.

The Corner Store at Park City Mountain
Serving up a local’s favorite après scene at Park City Mountain Resort for more than 30 years, the Corner Store is the best ( family-friendly) place at the base for brews, burgers and live music. Offering a full bar and a huge, outdoor patio, you can usually jam to live local tunes, which is a bonus!
The Après Lounge, Montage, Deer Valley
For those who enjoy a cocktail with a side of atmosphere, kick off your skis and head to one of the cutest yurts in Park City, located just behind the Montage at the base of Ruby and Empire Express.
Guests can choose from black and red checkered chairs, a rustic couch, or simply belly up to the wooden bar and grab a glass of rosé. This winter dream boasts small bites, an assortment of wines by the glass and a champagne list that will transport you from Utah to France in a single sip.
RIME Raw Bar at Deer Valley
RIME is probably the world’s only slopeside raw bar located at the top of Deer Valley’s Jordanelle Gondola in a refurbished cabin. RIME’s Oyster Happy Hour makes 2-3 p.m. prime time for some après ski snacks and beverages. Oysters are available on the half-shell for $2.50 and can be paired with bubbles, brews or wine. If oysters aren’t your jam, try the lobster rolls and chowder. Open Thursday-Sundays from 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
St. Regis Deer Valley Champagne Sabering
Take the funicular to the St. Regis Mountain Terrace and toast sundown with a free glass of bubbly. Each winter night when the clock strikes 5:30 p.m., a bartender narrates the Napoleonic roots of champagne sabering, strikes a blade across a sealed bottle and pours a round for the whole patio.
The Sticky Wicket, Silver Lake Lodge, Deer Valley
Deer Valley for adults! The Sticky Wicket bar on the second floor of the Silver Lake Lodge is all about relaxing and … ahem partying. Grab a shot ski, beer, cocktail and some bar bites. The food is really good, but this is no black-tie dinner. That 80s one-piece and your dad’s old aviators are perfect attire — it’s that kind of vibe!
High West Saloon, Park Avenue
If you ski into town and take the last right just before the town lift bridge, you’ll practically slide right into High West Saloon’s front door. This popular après ski spot is open until 10 p.m. and is well known for its whiskey. Choose from seasonal releases, barrel-aged cocktails, or classic favorites like Rendezvous Rye, Campfire and Valley Tan. But don’t stop there, with a menu that ranges from gourmet popcorn to their Niman Ranch Double Thick Pork Chop, this is a one-stop-shop for both food and drink.
Bridge Cafe, Base of the Town Lift
When it’s Quittin’ Time on the slopes, take the run aptly named all the way down to Historic Main Street where it dead ends at the Brazilian-American Bridge Cafe & Grill. Located next to Park City’s Town Lift, this restaurant boasts a spectacularly sunny patio overlooking the slopes. Sip the signature Brazilian Caipirinha, Bridge Mojito, or keep it basic with a Utah craft beer.
Silver Star Café, Bottom of Silver Star Lift
Heralded as a “Hidden Gem in Park City” and “A locals’ secret” Silver Star Cafe is located directly behind the Park City Golf Club, at the base of the Silver Star Lift at Park City Mountain Resort and is an intimate, upscale rustic cafe with award-winning Roots Cuisine.
There’s a cozy dining room with additional dining on a wrap-around outdoor patio and plaza depending on the weather. Lunch is offered Monday through Friday, brunch Saturday and Sunday, and dinner nightly.
Every Thursday, Friday and Saturday, the cafe offers an intimate, live music dinner show featuring all-acoustic folk, jazz, blues, Americana and bluegrass. Come as you are, whether it’s straight from the ski hill or out for a special celebration.
Collie’s, Main Street
Named for their namesake pup and just steps from the bottom of the Town Lift and across the street from the Bridge Cafe on Lower Main Street is a gem of a bar called Collie’s. Good food, beers and cocktails abound in a sports bar setting. With lots of TVs to watch, good music and a laid-back atmosphere — Collie’s is a great spot to hang up ski boots and enjoy a cold one after a long day on the hill.
